Adaptec Multi-Rate speech codec (AMR)

Does anyony know if the Audiovox SMT5600 includes an AMR (adaptec multi-rate speech codec), not to be confused with AMR audio filetype.

AMR enables better speech quality and increases the capacity of the network, but doesn't require any additional hardware investment.

Unlike traditional or previous GSM codecs (FR, EFR & HR), AMR adapts its error correction level to the local channels and traffic conditions.
