I cant play mp3's on my c500? and also certain wavs? help!

hello,

ive just transferred over 2 mp3's but in media player, they come up as playing and you can see the time running etc, but no sound?

also i transferred a wav over to use as a ringtone, you can see the sound when you go to settings/sounds but when you play it , it just plays a windows default "ding" so it cant actually use the wav?

anybody any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to convert the wav to PCM format.

You can use Windows Sound Recorder to save them as this format.

Don't know about the MP3s though. Got the volume turned up ? Do they play ok on your PC ?

Faulty C500? Do any MP3s play? Have you tried downloading sounds from this forum that are known to work with other people's C500s?

thanks for the advice so far. the phone does play some wavs, and these are the ones i use as ringtones. its justa certain few that dont work which is strange.

the mp3's work fine on my pc and the sound is definately up... just no sound on the phone... very strange....
