in silent mode i can still hear noise from m,y c500

i have a c500 but in silent mode when listening to my headphones i can still hear noise and music coming quietly from my phone, i have checked all the settings but cannot sort out this problem, it is rather embarrassing in public, |TIA jim

I too (and also a mate of mine) have had this problem, although it wasn't just in silent mode.

When listening to music with media player using the headset, the sound still comes out of the phone.

I can't find a solution to this problem ANYWHERE!

This looks like it may be a ROM problem as my phone does not suffer from this problem with Media Player.

it was working fine yesterday but today it was doing this?

i was wondering why everyone was looking funny at me walking to work this morning then when i took my earphones out it was blaring out of the handset.

Has anyone found a way around this?

On my phone it's okay for about 20 minutes the media player music comes out of both the phone speaker and the headset.

I've updated to the latest rom vesrion but it's still doing it.

This was never a problem on the E200 so why now??

It's anoying me so much I'm thinking of changing to a Nokia :lol:

I've found a way around it - but it's as equally annoying!

If i want to listen to some music and when i plug the headset in it comes out of the phone as well i do the following:

leave the headset plugged in, turn the phone off and back on again and it works fine!

This suggests a software fault me thinks!
