Guest Den Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 I hope someone out there can help me!!! Firstly, I have the problem on my phone where the profile setting is stuck on Headset??? I can't change it and its quite annoying but now I have another problem. I put the phone on silent, (you can see the speaker and X symbol at the top) but I can't get it off. I was wondering if this is possibly linked to the profile stuck in headset mode?? Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did you sort it? I'd really like to avoid having to do a hard reset so any help would be appreciated...I'm at work all day so if you have any suggestions, I can try them straight away... thanks for you help
Guest GOD 2.0 Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Cant help you with the headset problem but other one might be because you've got it set on silent, quick press of the power button, and when the quick list comes up, press number 5, this should sort that out. Also check that you have got a tune set for the ringtone.
Guest Den Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Yeah, I use that option quite alot as a quick was to put the phone in silent, as well as back to normal. The other way I've tried is start - 4 - 3- then tring to select normal. Both ways I either highlight it or select the number but I never sticks. I've had all the spv model phones and this is the first time i've ever had a problem.
Guest squall Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 the headset problem was a common e100 / e200 bug. you could try moving the jack in and out a few times, maybe release the switch like thing
Guest GOD 2.0 Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Firmware update? That sorted out my unlock problem, I had to pull the battery out first, before I could unlock my keypad.
Guest Den Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 What's the firmware update? is it the orange update over gprs? and now you mention it, I've had the same problem when unlocking the phone...
Guest Den Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 thanks, I'll give that a go when i get home. I'll post how it goes. The phone will not change any options to do with the profile or the quick menu (quick touch of the power button). hopefully this will do the trick or its off the hardware reset town...
