Guest raykumaramit Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 HI Guys, Sorry if this is a repeat ! While trying to syncronize my C500 with outlook, I got an error message for insufficient memory & the phone hanged. I pulled the battery for rebooting. But when tried staring the phone again, It is hanging at the Operators's logo. I am not even able to browse files on phone from PC to make changes. Pls suggest ! Thanks Amit
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Welcome to the site  You will need to do a Hard Reset (click on the highlighted words) to wipe the phone and reset it to it's factory defaults. Regarding memory all apps etc should be installed to the storage card to save space on the phone.
Guest raykumaramit Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Thanks for the reply. But since I am not able to browse through my phone how can I perform this step ? "Open a 'Windows Explorer' window to 'Mobile Device/My Smartphone/Windows', and leave it open." Pls suggest
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 ? not sure what your mean :? Taken from the linked post FOR THE C500 1. Press and hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 2. Press and hold power button for around 1 to 1.5 seconds. Release power button. Keep hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 3. Later, screen shoould show instructions to ask user to press '0' key to reset to factory default. 4. Press '0' within the timeout period, which is only several seconds only. 5. If no instruction is shown on the screen, repeat steps 1 to 4. The timing is sensitive. Phone needs to be off before going to step one.
Guest raykumaramit Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 THanks, Got sorted :)THanks, Got sorted
