Guest torbena Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I just got the new Lexus RX300, which includes an integrated navigation system and bluetooth handsfree control. The Bluetooth works fine as a handsfree phone, but there is a possibility to transfer your phone contacts to the memory on the car system via BT (so you can dial from the screen on the nav system). I would like to use my C500 here. Apparently the car system supports OPP Ver 1.1 (Object Push Protocol). As far as I know the Smartphone supports OBEX exchange of contact details, but only in IR. I have managed to transfer contacts one-by-one using "Beam Contact" but it will take forever to do it for all contacts, especially since it is only transferring one number per "beam" (seems to be the default number)!! Anyone with an idea on this? Thanks
Guest CRC Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I've just come across this exact same issue with a Parrot CK-3100 car kit... THe car kit supports getting OBEX transfers, but it takes *ages* to send contacts one at a time... There has got to be a better way to use a CK3100 with an imate smartphone 2....
