Guest tkvapil Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I want to file my contacts as: company (surname, name) When I create new contact in SP or edit existing contact in SP, there is no problem at all. But when I edit or create new contact in PC Outlook and file contact in above described form, it will appear in the PC list exactly as I expect: company (surname, name) but in the phone after synchronisation is: company(surname, name) - you see, that space between company and "(" is missing! It will not be a problem so much, but when you try to Search by the surname then, it will not find it at all! It will find the contact by pressing letters from the company or first name, but not surname! Only way, how to correct this, is to manually open each contact in the phone after synchronisation and repair those missing spaces in "file as" box and never edit any contact in the PC. I take it as serious bug. Does anybody else experienced this? Any ideas?
Guest Confucious Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 You gave 34 minutes for a reply? Sometimes you get replies straight away, othertimes it takes longer. Depends on who's viewing and if they can help. I read your post but don't use that format to store my contacts so can't help. I'm sure someone will come uop witha solution or confirm your "bug" soon. Just have patience.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Have you tried using "," instead of "(" ? Don't forget the phone uses an cut down version of Outlook so there will be limitations.
