Guest shadamehr Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 An Australian based company, Krome, have announced the launch of the "Intellekt iQ700" Smartphone. They bill it as "The World's Smallest Microsoft Windows Enabled Device", which is a bit of a stretch of the truth, as it appears to be a standard Typhoon handset, as per the C500, SMT5600 etc, so actually, should be billed as "equally the smallest" etc. Intellekt iQ700 The World's Smallest Microsoft Windows Enabled Device. With FREE bluetooth headset and RepliGo software, the Krome Intellekt iQ700 will revolutionize how you manage your busy day. Syncronise your email, contacts, tasks and calendar effortlessly with Microsoft Activesync. Send emails on the run. Take VGA quality pictures and movies and transfer them to your Windows PC. Download business application software for your device. Conference calling. Surf the internet and much more... A fully functional Windows PC hidden in a mobile device. Be the leader of the pack. Krome Intellekt iQ 700Nothing TOO earth shattering, given that this is just a Typhoon handset, but it IS good to see so many companies now taking up the Smartphone mantle, and especially in the Australasia region, if this is where it will be sold. It seems it's finally fair to say that Smartphones are becoming mainstream, affordable, and widespread (oh and the included RepliGo Software is a bonus too). Some specs listed include: Intellekt iQ700 features Microsoft® Smartphone Software, GSM/GPRS, 900/1800/1900 MHz, 32 MB RAM, 64 MB ROM, Bluetooth Compatible, MiniSD Card Memory Expansion, 64k Colour Transflective LCD, Built in CAmera, Integrated Antenna Source: KROME
