Problems with unlocked C500 on O2, pls HELP ME!!

Hey all, thanks for reading....

I'm a complete newbie here, joined tonight. I bought a Siemens SX1 a little while ago, but didn't get on with it. Keeping the contract from O2 I bought an SPV-C500 on ebay, network unlocked. LOVE the handset, but none of the wap/internet connections work on it! When I try to connect to IE or Messenger, or send and receive my emails it tells me it was unable to connect and that I should verify I have network coverage and try again, but I do have coverage! I've tried and Orange sim which would let me connect. O2's website obviously won't send settings to a handset they don't sell, and their staff instore are a joke.

I'm tearing my hair out here, please throw me a line!!
