Are you contract or prepaid ? If you are using a contract SIM then you should be able to use MSN messenger through the GPRS internet service. Unfortunately this is not available on O2 PAYG and they don't allow it through the GPRS WAP APN  What error do you get with MMS ? Have you used MMS before with that SIM (even in another phone) ? If not, then check with O2 that they have activated the MMS service on your acocunt. If they you ask which model of phone you have then tell them to setup you up as an XDA II user.
Guest Confucious Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Have you checked out http://www.filesaveas.com/ ?

Guest jasonic Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Am also having the same trouble with MMS on o2, i'm on the 300texts/month payandtalk Have verified my settings many times on my SPV E200, these are what i got: Dialup connections Description: o2wap Connects to: The internet Phone number: +447712927927 User name: o2wap Password: password Domain: blank Proxy connections Description: o2 WAP proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: Wap Network Proxy(name:port): 193.113.200.195:8002 Type: WAP Username: o2wap Password: password GPRS Connections Description: o2 MMS Connects to: Work Access point: payandgo.o2.co.uk Username: payandgo Password: password Primary DNS: 193.113.200.195 Secondary DNS: blank I.P address: blank Inbox>menu>options>account setup>mms>mms setup Server: o2 MMS Download Messsages: automatically Outgoing message size: less than 100kb Allowed message types: personal Inbox>menu>options>account setup>mms>mms setup>menu>edit connections>menu>add Description: o2 MMS MMSC Address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 Data Connection: Work Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway I.P Address: 193.113.200.195 Port: 9201 Settings/data connections:= Internet connection: o2 WAP Work connection:automatic WAP connection: o2 WAP Secure wap connection: automatic Internet explorer/options/connections:= Automatically detect settings= tick Select network: Wap network Have been browsing quite happily (i thought tho that i was ment to be getting 300 text or 300 wapmins, but i am getting charged for surfing, maybe i wrong on this but my credit definately goes down). Whenever i send a mms, i get multiple messages back, some of what i just sent coming back to me and some saying "not all messages can be delivered. to try again press menu, and press send/receive", but my message never reaches its destination. I rang the O2 customer services line and they were no use at all.
Guest Confucious Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 All those settings look OK. Just wondering about "Outgoing message size: less than 100kb " - Wha size are the messages you are trying to send? And why would anyone use MMS anyway when they have email?......
Guest jasonic Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 The Picture i sent was 17.48kb, i have not set my phone up for email and dont know where to start on those lines lol
