Guest jasonic Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Hi, is there a filesize limit or something for sending files across via the infrared using the SPV E200, I tried tone across to a samsung E700 sized at 30.9kb, the file got to 6% and then the spv came up with read error, tried with a photo taken using the camera, once again got a read error, so decided to try sending to a nokia 6600, and either got 'cannot connect' or part way through the transfer got 'read error'. Does any1 know why this is happening. Big thanks in advance.
Guest Samsonite Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 i have successfully sent mp3's of over 3mb over infrared... takes aaaagggggeeees tho... How are you trying to send via infra red? Smart Explorer?
Guest jasonic Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 I running smart explorer 2.0.2
Guest jsr_24 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 I'm having the same problem on my C500, all I am trying to do is send a 2kb picture to a nokia 6100 and it doesnt want to go. Even though it says it has sent the file. I have tried using file manager and smartexplore 2.02 :?:
Guest topratty Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 i have had the same problems with my E100 ive put the problem down to the other phone because some phones i can send stuff across all day without any problem but other phones just dont like recieving files. i have heard that some phones ONLY recieve files from the same model phone (dont know how true this is though) i have sent files to a nokia 6600 but dont know what network it was on... maybe the network has somthing to do with it aswell as a couple of Vodafone phones i tried sending to didnt like it correct me if im wrong though
Guest Samsonite Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 i have successfully sent mp3s, wavs ( altho they didnt play) and jpgs to my mates 6620 as well as the wifes 6820 with varying success.. it may take a few attempts to get the connection so i cant honestly say its been trouble free.... I only use Smart Explorer to send anything as this is the most user friendly method - highly recommended! Thinking about it now tho, i have not been able to send stuff to my dads SE T630(? - the next one up from the T610).. prefer blutoof anyway!!
Guest jasonic Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 i tried many times to my mums e700 and it failed every time, not had a successful infrared transfer yet, bluetooth on the other hand works everytime first time, but me mums phone is not bluetooth compatible, i need to be able to use the infrared.
