Do I need to convert/compress wmv files for my C500

Long and short of it is that I'm trying to stick some porn in wmv format onto my c500 (wow factor only of course) , some of the files are 80 meg or so. I've read plenty of stuff about converting avi's and mpeg's but not about .wmv's.

Is there anything I should be doing?

Cheers!

Should play OK in WMP. An 80Mb file shoould give plenty of WOW! factor

Thanks confucious, I've stuck a file on and it's 474kbps and it plays but it's a bit slow and juddery, can you suggest anything?

The bitrate's probably too high. Use something to make it a bit smaller (probably just need to resize it to the smartphone screen size) - you might be able to use Windows Media Encoder, or if you get a DivX or MPG player, VirtualDub or TMPGEnc

i have just compressed a purely 'reference only' video file using windows media encoder 9.

and managed to get it from 600meg to 120meg and its all running well.

so perhaps try that and adjust the image size and bit rates
