Guest blowdart Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Now I know I can be heavy on data usage, I had to spend a week in Sept using my phone as my only method of getting emails, but this month my bill lept from the normal £40-odd to £210. £80 of that was an upgrade fee for an upgrade that I was told was free and the rest was GPRS. GPRS from 8am-6pm. Monday to Friday, then weekends as well. What joy. Best part is the refund policy. The upgrade fee was cancelled, but it appears as a credit. Next month. So I'd have to pay it, then get it back in a service credit. Errr no. Still despite what I read on here about customer service the guy on the phone was friendly, helpful and listened (especially when I told him he should search here to see that others have the same problems). Now I have to wait and see what happens, and if it gets sorted before the DD is due. Mr Orange I have his name and extension. He deserves a pat on the back for handling the call well. The person who charged me for the upgrade needs a slap
Guest kurtfhouse Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Unlucky mate  I'm sure they never bill you right for GPRS, I hardly ever use it and I have a 4MB bundle yet my bill for GPRS is ALWAYS £12-£15????? Ah well................good luck with the bill, which they should correct as it is THEIR mistake, you should charge them interest if they take what you don't owe
Guest barrybryce Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 The data charging problems are starting to get to be a bit of a serious and worrying problem. It's particularly bad when it involves GPRS, as you can't really check what they say. I was lucky it happened with CSD, and all the dates and times were printed in all their glory, to be picked apart.
