New C500 User, New Site User

Thought i'd introduce myself seeing as i'm new. James Rayers, live in England atm and i'm a student. Recently got an SPV C500 and they ain't half good.

Looking for some cool Apps & Games for it, also looking for a similar software to DVD to Smartphone but freeware, if one exists.

Another thing, i'm pretty sure it's impossible but is it posisble to get free GPRS?

Also, MSN Messenger, does it run using GPRS? I have a 4mb GPRS Trial for the next 30 days so i was wondering if this includes access on MSN Messenger and about how many KB/MB i might expect to use.

Im not sure about the free dvd to smartphone software sorry, I have looked and all i've found is free 1 minute trial things.

And yes, msn messenger uses GPRS. Im not sure about the exact amount of KB's it uses, but it isnt an awful lot, I would say it would be hard to reach a MB of messenger data, but of course, it depends how much you use it.

I had an MSN chat the other day, and after half a dozen "long" messages (long considering I was typing on my phone!) each way it used about 58Kb

You don't need to buy software to convert DVDs to play on the smartphone.

There are freeplayers available, and some free conversion software and guides. Try a search for TMPGEnc and you should find several threads on using it, and which players work best etc

You should have gone for the "unlimited" GPRS trial that way it wouldn't matter how much you use. I used 10Mb in my first month checking emails IMing and browsing.
