i have just been trying to transfer large files from my pc to the storage card.

i have got a scandisk 256mb card fitted, the file i am trying to transfer to it is only 100mb but its get half way (just under) and resets itself.

I think this may have been covered elsewhere but i cannot find the thread,

Any ideas?

If transferring large files, its always best to use a card reader for the PC, I cant remember why this happens, I think it just times out or something. But I think it happens to most people.

You are transferring through the ActiveSync software I am assuming? Mine does this too when transferring large files but if you leave it to get on with it, it will transfer the whole file (usually after a couple of passes). The trick is not to stop the process thinking it has failed.

I think this is something to do with the software, or maybe the firmware in the phone and hopefully it may be fixed in a an update.

Activesync has a habit of timing out, which is why it's best to use a card

reader. One way I can get around this is by scrolling through the menus

on a regular basis while sending a large file to the phone ie TomTom Map.

This appears to work for me.

I was testing movies the other day and didn't want to take the card out and transfered a 150MB file without problem. It did take a while and didn't really look like it was working but the availible space on the memory card kept changing so I knew it was working.
