Guest csd1uk Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 I have been trying to unlock my phone so that i can run other program, games etc. I have been to the orange developers site and completed there steps to security disable the phone. This all went ok and i got the message up on the phone saying that it had been done. Although i am now trying to run the NES rom but it still says: "not a valid windows CE application" Can anyone help me as its starting to piss me off and i dont want to stop loving this phone.LOL
Guest tattooedpierre Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 I've had this appear a few times on my C500 but it wasn't to do with the application unlocking thing.. it was because the application was a Pocket PC version I had downloaded by mistake, not a Smartphone version. Check the software again, and make sure it's the right version. I got the NES (and Mega Drive for that matter) emulators to work perfectly well on my C500 so it is possible without application unlocking, it'll just warn you about trusted programs before it installs. HTH, Pierre
Guest csd1uk Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 the software is from coolsmartphone and says its for smart phones, i am trying to use the Nesticle NES emulator with no joy, where did you get both of your emulators from. and although slightly off topic does any1 know of any good game sites for the smart hone. (C500)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 If you get the message not a valid windows CE application that means the app is not designed for your phone not that your phone is application locked. As for games sites try www.handango.com or www.clickgamer.com Otherwise for infomation on games etc try the Software games section of the site.
