my bluetooth connection has got more & more unreliable as i've had it as mate who used to be ableto find me now can't...any ideas ???

Have you got the Bluetooth switched to 'on' or 'discoverable' on your phone? If the former, the phone will not be visible to other Bluetooth devices, the phone must be switched to 'discoverable' in the first instance.
