hi everyone, just bought a qtek 8080 from ebay and should be coming some time next week, just a few questions, mainly are the 8080's software locked and if so can anyone give me advice on what i would need to do to unlock it? and also ive noticed obviously u can get updateded software and stuff for smartphones, now say and update rom comes out am i right in thinking its actually firmware upgrade thus the image is flashed onto a chip, so if this fails the phone is dead? of this does fail for whatever reason am i right in thinking using the bootloader u can restore a backup from a card?

Your phone will not be Application Locked

And correct with the updates, there is always a risk but it's not that common to kill a phone.

thanks for the quick reply, already emailed o2 to see if they will activate gprs web on my sim, might take me a while as it took me 5 days to explain to them i couldnt get o2 active working on my current sagem myx7 :roll:
