Hi all,

I own a sim unlocked spv c500 (ex orange) and I have a recurring problem when I try to install some applications.

Specificly i'm trying to install a navigator software (not to use it with gps, just as a route planner).

Most i've tried don't seem to work including tomtom navigator and microsoft pocket streets 2005, after loading the cab installation file it says "installation file is not intended for this device" (<-- this also happens with other apps). That sounds strange to me since i think at least pocket streets 2005 should be fully supported.

Any idea on how can I solve this problem?

The only navigation program I managed to install successfully is tomtom mobile... but I got another problem here... i have a 128 mb mini sd card, and the map pack for my country is like 180, and there's no possibility to install region specific or city specific maps.

Do you know of any method to solve this or should i get a larger mini-sd card?

Thanks all for your attention

Are all the apps DEFINATLY for the smartphone? And if they are multi format, are you getting the smartphone version? The only thing that I can think of is if you're downloading the Pocket PC version instead.

Yup, sound's like yopu have PPC versions not SmartPhone versions.

You do need a bigger mini-SD card for maps,

Good Luck.

What size memory card came with TomTom Mobile when you bought it?

I bought the spv from a guy in holland, and it came with a 128 Mb mini sd with Benelux maps loaded. The bad is that the maps for my country are much bigger and won't fit... I guess i gotta buy a new sd then :
