When are Cingular retail stores going to carry the MPX220?

A friend of mine works at the local Cingular store in the Mall here (Pennsylvania, USA). He said they were given training on the MPX220 about a month and a half ago, but haven't heard about it since. I've checked all of my local Cingular retail stores and none of them know anything about availability of this phone. The Cingular.com website also doesn't mention it. Even my local AT&T stores seem to have no idea. So, as of today, even though everything I find online lists Cingular's release date for the 220 to be October 18th, my only options for buying this phone are Best Buy ($499.99 without activation) or EBay (average price is about $300 there). I'm an AT&T customer and I'm just waiting for the local Cingular stores to get this phone so I can switch over and take advantage of whatever new customer rebates and incentives they have on it. Any ideas how much longer I'm going to be waiting??? Thanks.
