call waiting notification sp3/c500

hi,hope some1 can help,

on most phones eg nokia handsets, when u call some1 and they are already on a call, your phone eg nokia will still ring them but blep telling you they are on another call...does the sp3 not have this function cos i have turned call waiting on but if i call som1 and they are on a call i dont know, it just rings as normal...cheers.

Call waiting is a function on your phone and will only work for incoming

calls to your phone, it will not effect someone elses phone when you call them, that is down to their handset.

when making a call on a nokia if the other party is on a call at that time the nokia displays the message, "call waiting" on the screen and beeps once, then carries on ringing. does the c500 have this capability. I think that is what he is asking.

I cannot test this as I do not use call waiting, but with a normal call

I just get the engaged tone.

yes it does. Just set it up on th phone options.

then check Provide call waiting notifications

i know about thesettings/phone/call waiting/notifications...this is fine,call waiting is set up and if i receive a call when im on the phone already my sp3 does tell ME there is another call waiting.....but wot i want to know and wot i cant seem to do is set it up so that when i call some1 who is already on a call,my phone shld tell me they are on a call but sp3 doesnt seem to do that.
