Guest aca03dah Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Where are these, I've been trying to hunt around but no luck  I want: MMS, WAP, GPRS, TXT all those kind of settings Also, is there a guide to changing the settings on a C500? Cheers people, David Herman
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 The settings you need are on the first page of the link for GPRS settings.
Guest aca03dah Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 That was the first thing I looked at. The problem is that there are none listed for BT... (from what I can see). I do see O2 and T-Mobile.. And BT Cellnet doesn't seem to grasp the concept of gaiving me the details so I can manually input them. So any help is much appriciated. Dave
Guest aca03dah Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Ahhhhhh that makes lots of sence now then  So if i change the settings to O2, will that mean i pay more than if the settings were specifically for BT Cellnet?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 BT Cellnet does not exist anymore they changed their name a few years ago to O2 Published: 16 April 2002 1. ...internet portal Genie and other European operations under the O2 brand from the beginning of next month. A spokesperson for the company told netimperative that Genie, BT Cellnet and its European divisions Viag Interkom, Telfort and Digifone would all be branded O2 from early May, with a pre-launch and large advertising campaign to announce the re-naming to be unveiled "very soon."
Guest aca03dah Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 OK, so maybe i'm dense... but... BT Cellnet <> BT Mobile? I got a BT Mobile contract, and i need the settings for that. Does that make any difference to everything?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Looking at the BT Mobile site I cannot find any information on GPRS and it looks like they may not support this. The site as a whole is very poor on information. Regarding TXT that information should be read directly from the SIM and so should not need setting up. If it is not correct then you can change the number by going to MenuSettingsCall Options enter the correct number in the SMS service center box.
