Guest Godfather Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Is there a way to create a connection between the phone and Tablet PC through bluetooth so I can access the internet through my phone and use it as a wireless card instead of having to buy a wireless card and pay for a whole new plan??
Guest Confucious Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 You can usr=e the phone as a BT modem if that's what you mean? At least with a nor,mal PC - is a tablet PC different?
Guest jimbouk Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 it works both ways. Associate the phone with the pc using the pc's bluetooth software and then most BT programs will offer you a choice of BT options. You want to create a dial-up networking connection and then hey presto the phone will act as a modem...but watch out for data charges. If you meant the other way (ie using broadband internet access on the phone via the pc), then select allow pass through in active sync options, connect via bluetooth and then once connected the phone will use the pc's existing internet connection and allow emails and web browsing without data charging. The only sites you cant access this way are those that orange have put in your favourites - cos they only work with a gprs connection. (assuming you are on orange).
