mSD card and CRC errors

I'm having problems getting files onto my Mini Secure Digital card (for Orange C500). Is this a 'known' problem? The card is a 256Mb Sandisk and file transfers either via card reader or direct USB connection frequently fail. The error message returned is failure due to Cyclic Redundancy Check. Why should this happen? If it makes a difference, the files I'm typically transferring are MP3s and AVIs (up to 150Mb).

That error normally meand the file or disk is corrupted.

If the file you are transfering is ok then I would try formatting

the Storage card.
