Surely there must be a way to enable multipress for the c500

Gaming won't ever be the same without being able to press 2 buttons simultaneously.

That or we spam the crap out of Orange and HTC asking for it :lol:

It would be cool if it could be activated, but all is not lost without it, Eclipse is good and can be played fine, Worms World Party is the same as is SkyForce, Smartanoid and I am sure the list goes on :lol:

A ROM update will cure the multipress issue with the keypad but as

explained in the sticky post the keypadcontrol pad issue is hardware

and so cannot be fixed :cry:

Isnt that a contridiction? if its hardware and cannot be fixed then a ROM update wont resolve it.

No, it is not a contradiction.

Multiple keypad buttons could be pressed simultaneously on the old ROM, but there is apparently a hardware flaw that stops you using the joystick/rocker at the same time as a keypad button.

I noticed in settings/accessibility theres an option that says "multipress time out" by default its set to 1 second. not sure if setting to "no auto advance" turns off multipress all together but its definately improved my texting, as before it would miss letters when typing fast. hardly misses any now.

When the SPV was first released it was always suggested to change multipress to 1/2 second.

With the C500 yes.

This is not related to the Control pad Keypad issue though as mentioned in

In the old ROM, you could press two keys at the same time, but not the joypad and a key.

But in the new ROM, you can press the joypad and a key at the same time, but not two keys at the same time.

No, you cannot use the joypad and the keypad at the same time.

As I have said this is a hardware fault on the same lines as the MPX200

key press issue.
