Guest Kushan Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Ok I've had my E200 for a while now and it's always had this problem, just recently it seems to have gotton worse. Basically, it doesn't seem to recieve any SMS messages that are sent to it. The only way I can get it to recieve them for some reason is to make a call (even to check how many free mins I have left or whatever). This is quite annoying, especially when I'm expecting a text message, let alone when I'm not expecting one (I dread to think how many I've lost as turning the phone off and on seems to delete the unseen messages before the phone even notices they're there). Anyone got any ideas? It seems to have gotton WORSE since I upgraded the ROM to the latest one on Orange's site, but this could be just my imagination.
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 This happened to me yesterday, I had been waiting for a delivery status to come in and after 2 hours I got a bit worried. Rang the number (switched off) hung up then all of a sudden I got 4 messages at once :shock: This continued all through the day messages would not arrive until I made an outgoing call. Fingers crossed, seems ok today. Yesterday must have been a glitch at the Orange end, if you have been experiencing this problem for some time you will need to speak to Orange Customer Service.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I stopped using O2 when I had a Nokia as I had the same problem. Apparently if you recieve a lot of txt or the network is busy messages can go into a looping system on the server where every x ammount of minutes it attempts to send the waiting txt to you. Sometimes this sytems get stuck and you need to call the service provider push the message along.
Guest prophet Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 yeah, I've been experiencing this since April, when I only got the phone in Feb ! Orange seem unable to do anything about it... I'll never buy any Orange service again... Recieved my 4th E200 this morning, will wait till i get home to see if the problem is solved. Very unhappy Chris.
