Winamp is not available for the phone.

As for mp3 you can place them on the storage card using Activsync

Then open Media Player and MenuLocal Content it should then find

the mp3 files.

You should consider buying a card reader (should cost you less than £10) to transfer large files like MP3s from PC to storage card. It will be much faster.

Thanks for the message....

I recd a MP3 thru Bluetooth via my mates SE P900. The message came up on my phone if i wanted to save the MP3 i said yes but i cant seem to find it any where,

Also i have tried looking on the local content & i still cant find it on Media Player. I have created a folder in the storge card & saved all the MP3's from the pc on the folder but can seem to locate it via the media player.

I was under the impression that files were saved to My Documents on the phone, but haven't actually tried it myself.

How big was the MP3 file ? Are you sure it transferred okay ?

Fire Player won't help you at all in this situation.

They won't be your music files.

If they transferred correctly they should be in Storage My Documents.

It sounds like they weren't transferred at all

You're right Max, those files are not your missing MP3 as I've got them on my phone !

As for the other MP3 ; check the file extension. Has Real Player changed it ? Could you play it with Windows Media Player on your PC ?

Hi Mate,

I cant play thoes files on media player on the pc as it says file not supported. However i can play it on Real Player.

Do i have to change the extension of the file as i could change it to .wav from .ram

what file extensions do i need to play the mp3s on media player.

There's no support for Real Player files on the Smartphone, so you need to use files with .mp3 or .wav extensions.

HI,

I have changed the file extension to.mp3 on my storage card.

When i open media player i can now see the file. However when i click on it to play it , the intro comes up with the media player & then there is a error message displayed, Saying ......

' Windows cannot play this file. The file cannot be found or the file name not valid. Verify your network connections are correct & that the required storage card is available.'

I hve stored the MP3 Files in the Folder MP3 on the storage.

Any help Please......?

you cant just convert file formats by changing the extention. you need a music convertor. Have a look in the articles section at the guides for making ringtones. Its not totally what you are after, but will hopefully give you a bit of understanding on what your trying to do

Are you sure they were actually MP3 files you received ?
