Why do I have 'View Calendar' on my screen during a call?

I am a new user.

I have the Orange SPV C500, and during a call I have "View Calendar" and sometimes "View Contact" on my screen (if that number is stored on my phone)?

What purpose does it serve? Can I get rid of it?

Thanks.

So you can check the calender to arrange something with the person on the phone.

Haven't used it but I imagine view contact is so you can browse your contacts to pass numbers etc. to the person you are talking to.

IMO, both 'View' options can really be time savers.

'View Calendar' works like Chiz said -- you can quickly see your calendar. Really good for when someone you're talking to asks "Hey, what are you doing on MM/DD".

When I call someone and they don't answer, I just hit 'View Contact', scroll down to one of their other contact numbers (home/office/whatever) and call them there.
