Guest skaramanga Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 I am currently awaiting my new C500 (which is the second one Orange have sent, because the first one seems to have got lost in the post!), and was going to give my brother my E200. I was wondering if you can activesync both phones on the one machine, its XP and we have different user accounts. Would they interfere with each other? Cheers
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 I've just read on here today that it's not possible with ActiveSync at the moment.
Guest skaramanga Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Thanks for the reply. Will have to set the C500 up to sync I reckon. :? Cheers.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 You can sync more than one device but, (and this is the important but) you cannot sync more than one device at a time. You will have to unplug one device before plugging in another other wise you can have problems with Activsync which can only be fixed by rebooting the pc. As you say you would be syncing different accounts you should not have any of the problems as you would always only have one device plugged in for each account.
Guest skaramanga Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Thanks for the reply. Will hopefully get the phone today.
Guest Surveyor Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 I've never tried it across different accounts, but it's easy to sync more than one device on a single PC (but not at the same time). I sync my C500 and Dell Axim to my PC. Having established a partnership with the new device, call up ActiveSync, unplug the other device, choose File->Mobile Device and select the one you want. Plug it in and away you go.
