I did syncing settings for my pc(not server) every time I sync it nothing happens to adress book nor outlook.... what can be the problem? is there any spesifics about what to sync or not?
Guest ronny Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 first check both microsoft outlook and outlook express if the data you sync had been synced. because sometimes it synced with outlook express and not microsoft outlook or vice versa. second make sure you have a check on the boxes under tools>options>sync options in active sync.

Guest MadSci Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I've used both forms of Outlook - no problems there. I have "Lost" the partnership between Outlook and the phone inexplicably on two occassions. Never figured out why, but setting up a new partnership was easy. I do find that after being open for several hours, Activesync sometimes just can't hook up to the phone properly. Seems to be one of those irritating Windows "Memory Trace" issues. Rebooting the PC without the phone in the cradle solves the issue. System: Sony Vaio RZ-55G, Windows XP Media Edition, Office 2003 Hope this helps, MadSci

Also as you have Media Edition I'm wondering is it's a glitch with the PC/OS from what I've been told (so could be wrong) Sony have their own tweak version of Media Edition :? Have you

From what I've resolved before looking to forum replies, as you have said outlook express can't sync with activesync, I was unable to install the spanish version of outlook 2002 (because I have bought spanish version) I was trying to sync with outlook express and couldnot sync. When I installed a proper english version I had no problems... So It's the right advice for me :lol: :idea: Activsync does not syncronise with Outlook Express. Have you Yup, I have version 3.7.1, Build 3043 It might indeed be a Media Center issue, or a sony "tweek" problem. I tried to install XP Service Pack 2 and it clobbered the system so badly I had to uninstall it. Go Microsoft! MadSci
