 does anyone know if its possible to to unlock my old spv 100 without it going on line

I have been using my old unlocked SPV with the excellent pocketmusic software as a mp3 player (as I now have a E200 for normal phone use)

But for some reason today when I switched it on it decided to reset itself and it would appear that it is no longer unlocked as pocket music will no longer run as it is an unsigned program.

I know that some time ago I read somewhere that there was a software program available that could unlock the phone, I am unable to do it via the orange website thingie as it no longer has phone connection can any one help

TIA

Just use your current SIM in the phone and unlock the OTA way.

I only use one SIM to unlock all my phones when ever I need to.

I would not suggest flashing the rom just so you can play one app.

What happened to the phone was it has suffered from partial reset.

This happens for numerous reasons but is probably due to the battery running too low in your case.

As for the software you mention is is not a legal application as was

only designed for internal use at Orange.

i totally agree with you the easiest way to app. ulnlock your phone is thru OTA, but you would have to do it again the moment your phone suffers from a partial reset or when you have done a hard reset.

But if you are only playing music and making sure the battery is topped up then you should not suffer from

and partial resets or hard resets.

The only time I have had any of the above is through my own tweaking or ignoring the battery level.

i guess your right, the only important thing now was not to let the battery drain out.
