Guest kiddybaggie Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 After the disappointment of battery life in my E200, I want to get this right. I did a search and there was a post back in august saying the manual recommends 3 hours initial charge, people for a little unsure whether more was better for the battery or worse? Others also stated that there C500's came fully charged, so they played and it hasn't effected them, my previous SPV's came fully charged, will this cause a problem? And finally does the 3 hour initial charge mean that first charge (eg, on the evening) has to be 3 hours or that it has to be charged 3 hours before even using it? (eg. when it arrives.....) Its coming today.......I'm suprisingly excited!
Guest tinus Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I suggest you stick to what's in the manual..
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 As you do not know the charge state it would be best to give the battery the recomended charge. never try to discharge the battery as you can damage it, Li-ion batteries should be topped up to keep them healthy.
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 a bit off topic but hope one of you guyes know the answer, i noticed that when i charged my phone up when i first had my phone, the battery lasted ages(like 5-6 days) and as you might expect i was playing with my new toy all the time, now i fully charge my phone and use it mederatly and the battery dies in 3-4 days at most. why? is there anyway of improving the life of my phone?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Check your power management settings, turn BT off etc. This will all help
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Check your power management settings, turn BT off etc. This will all help i have always had bluetooth on discoverable as i use it many many times a day and my power setting are on almost the best, but i dont want the revert to homescreen and turn off too quick so not the best i know. But i had these settings before and the battery life is still worse than before.
Guest waynepyrah Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 On Bluetooth if you don't need to allow new mobiles, etc to find you there isn't a need to have it on discoverable - just put it on and it will save your juice.
