Guest denial Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I have asked this question of a couple of people... I will simply post the email i sent... I have inadvertently added a word to my t9 dictionary, which used to predict the word "you" quite nicely, it has now been replaced with "YOT" in capitals (dont laugh) and i have to select "you" from the drop down menu all the time, its only when you replace "you" with "YOT" that you realise how often you use the word "you". People have started saying it to me in conversation in the pub, as most of the time i forget it does it, my brain now perceives YOT as you.. its all getting too much. know anyway of deleting added words... :-( cheers, and thankYOT. I have tried deleting the T9AW.UDB file but it wont allow me access to it, via the file manager or active sync, it says its shared or in use, despite having "closed all" on the task manager. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, or am i headed for the "nuke" button and reinstalling everything?
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I don't think anyone has discovered a way of editing the T9 dictionary on this phone, but I wouldn't do a hard reset just yet. Like yotself, I have managed to insert some weird entries but I'm pretty sure that after you've used the correct choice a few times it will reset the priority and all will be fine. This is not a scientific observation, but I've stopped worrying about it.
Guest Confucious Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 If yot reboot the phone yot should be able to delete the T9AW.UDB file. It is a real pain not being able to edit it isn't it?
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 I thought about going down that route, but surely it's a bit drastic for just the one word. Then yot'll have to re-enter all your swear-words one-by-one
Guest Confucious Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Like I said, It's a real pain.
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Yot certainly did ! (ok, I'll stop  )
Guest Parre Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 Maybe if you use the word you writing alot of times it will understand that YOT is never used lol
