:lol: Hi everyone, this is my first post on this site so go easy on me if i've posted an already answered question.

I've just recently picked up the the imate SP3 and think its a great phone. Earlier this year I had the motorola Mpx200 and loved that too.

1. I'm having trouble with date transfer via bluetooth/IR. Every time i try to send something from the SP3 to another phone or pc with BT/IR, it either hangs or goes back to the standby screen.

2. I've come to realise that SPV c500 and imate SP3 are the same phones(correct me if i'm wrong). So, can i use the ROM updates provided on the orange website?

3. Is Windows Mobile 2003 SE V4.21.1088 the latest version?

4. Where can I get a black shell for the SP3? I currently have one which is sort of light sky blue color.

1, Check SettingsHome Screen and set Timeout to Never

2, You can but it is best not to as sometimes there can be compatability problems but more importantly you will invalidate you warranty.

3, yes

4, You would probably have to contact HTC or look for a dummy case on ebay.

1. Settingshome screenTimeout has always been on Never. Although I don't know what thats got to do with BT/IR data transfer?

2/3. If Windows Mobile 2003 SE V4.21.1088 is the latest version, then i guess i wouldn't need to use the orange website upgrades.

4. Forgive my ignorance, but what is HTC? I reside in the Middle East and ebay doesn't Ship to where I stay.

1 I was reading it as going back to the home screen :oops:

2, That is the latest update for Orange and not your phone.

3, HTC are the company that makes the phones.
