Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Christmas sales this year is NOW, and it's not here... ;-) P
Guest marclewis Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Many of the sites I have looked at regarding the MPX say that 32 meg of Ram is not enough and the processor will be too slow at 200 meg. I have a HP4150 pocket pc with a 400 meg processor and 64 meg of Ram. This works fairly fast on WiFi and Tom Tom 3 with Bluetooth. Some people have got their hands on an MPX and theirs planty of chat on the howard forum. Also try http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/smartphones...-mpx-026819.php
Guest B@man Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 All of the ones in circulation are pre-production "testers", do we yet know if the production model will be of the same specs?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Yes, it will. P Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest dog Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 I played with one last week and like others that have used it, I found it seemed a little slow and the screen was surprisingly small, although the overall form factor is pretty cool. The real surprise for me was that it was not yet Wi-Fi enabled (even though it's clearly in the design specs and on-screen menu), even though I was at a special Wi-Fi demonstration show..... ......not exactly a promising sign for release anytime soon.
Guest jfran Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 there was a tentative date for mid january release on o2 uk, however that has been further delayed rgds jim
Guest PDAGB Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Why it got only 23.79MB RAM available in use? I have seen in this review http://www.pda4thai.com/modules.php?name=N...article&sid=591
Guest ppcmd Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I thought it was the memory left for apps to run after the OS was loaded.
