Guest naim Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Hi all. I am new to this forum and wondered if someone can answer a couple of (?)simple questions. 1. Would unlocking my C500 have any effect on the performance of the phone __ i.e. would it not do anything that it can do now? 2. If the answer to the question above is NO, then please tell me how to unlock my phone. I have never done this before and would really appreciate it if someone walks me through it, please. Thanks a bundle. Naim
Guest Sage Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 unlocking the phone doesnt stop any of the functionality of the phone.. it just allows you to use any sim card. you can get it unlocked here www.imei-check.co.uk
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Naim, did you mean application unlocking ? The answer is still the same ; no it won't adversely affect the phone. There is a full guide here - > OTA The direct link is : http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdef.aspx Follow the instructions carefully. Use the IMEI number you get from entering *#06# into the keypad. Connect the phone to GPRS at least once before doing it. It's a lot easier than you might think

Guest Confucious Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 It should work via GPRS as it's not then try using Passthrough on your PC. A few people have had to try many times then all of a sudden it worked (mine worked first time) but if it doesn't work I believe there is an app you can get from them. Try Passthrough first and if it doesn't work let us know. I know it's a silly question but you are entering the imei you get from the phone and you are entering your mobile number in the format +4477... ?
