Guest jasonic Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 has anyone had any luck sending texts using 'Dr. Neil's SMS Utils', i have tried to send a few texts using this program and not one has sent successfully, i get all the incoming texts no prob but sending never works.
Guest flyswat Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I looked into using Dr. Neil's SMS Utils, but I didn't overly like the interface, so didn't use it. If you want a decent program for sending SMSs from your PC try Jeyo Mobile Extender (www.jeyo.com); it works as an extension to Outlook, with its own toolbar, I've never had a problem with it. Its pretty cheap as well.
Guest James Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 better still try this for free.... i use it every day ansd i think its great! http://www.airfagev.com/apps/SPStudio.zip
Guest jasonic Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Have tried both these suggestions. SPStudio loaded, but would not connect, but in the readme file it does state 'Not sure if it can work with WM2003', I using an E200 which i believe is 2003. Jeyo Mobile Extender, This happily reads my incoming text and puts them into my inbox, but when i send a text, i use me pc on outlook, send a text, a message pops up on me phone with a balance check (o2), but the person i sending to never gets the message, it i type another message straight after tho using the phone, that they receive straight away. Any suggestions please?
Guest James Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 works with my E200 fine... make sure you have run the .cab on then phone too
Guest Sage Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 the thing that annoys me is i bought Jeyo Mobile Companion however i need to keep emailing them for new registration codes whenever i reinstall my computer.. i bought it.. should be able to install it whenever i like.
Guest flyswat Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 ..but if you didn't have to email Jeyo Mobile after re-installing a PC, then illegit copies of the program would be all over the internet and sales of the program would drop.. ...anyway, most people only rarely re-install their machines..
Guest jasonic Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Have found out why mine weren't getting to their destination, i was typing the number as 078.... but it seems the prog prefers the number to be dialed as +4478... but now when i send a text, the message appears in my sent items, then a few mins later when i receive a reply, my last message duplicates itself so i got 2 of every message i make sitting in my sent items folder. is this some sort of bug, my message is only being received only the once?
