Guest Swagger Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I am a new user and I read on a different thread that I can organise the Start Menu using File Manager. I went into File Manager, located the Start Menu folder, and saw all the applications listed there, in no particular order. My query is, in what way do I move those applications around so that they get listed in the way I want? I don't want to mess around too much with my Start Menu, just to change 2 applications. At present I have: 1. massaging 2. contacts 3. call history 4. settings 5. orange 6. camera 7. album 8. calendar 9. more What I specifically want to do, is switch around Tasks and Explorer from my second menu with Orange and Calendar. This way Tasks and Explorer will be in my Start Menu, with Orange and Camera in the secondary menu (more). Sorry for the long post. Your assistance is much appreciated.
Guest filao Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Hi, you're either gonna need: Jeyo Personaliser (which has an option to sort the Start Menu, but only the first 7 items in the Start Menu) Get the Registry Editor and do it manually (the key is on here somwehere). For your query, you're gonna have to do it manually (which isn't difficult at all). Hope this helps.

Guest Swagger Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 No way of organising the Start Menu using File Manager? I'm a little scared of messing around with the Registry Editor.
Guest dodding nonkey Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 If you're not too keen on playing around with the registry, Jeyo Personaliser is the tool for you, do a search on here for where to download it. PS. Its freeeeee!
Guest lighthouse82 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 or, for another way to reorganise your start menu, have a read of this thread if you go down the folder route (which i think makes things much easier) then be aware that you'll have to go into the registry to re-map the startup MRU icons or they won't work. but don't worry, it's not that daunting and only takes 5 minutes.
