Guest judgey Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Just bought my C500 and am very pleased with it. Anyone know off any GPS mapping software (not car navigation like Tom Tom) that will run on the platform. Any help would be appreciated as I have looked on Handango and GPS software seems to be hard to come by on SP platform. Cheers Judgey
Guest Papa Smurf Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Before anyone flames you, try the search option. Its located at the top of the page and is in bold  There are LOTS of threads about this and there are two main suppliers, Tom Tom and CoPilot. Both would appear to have pros and cons. Read the reviews and make your own choice.
Guest judgey Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Yes, your right, sorry, I should no better, I belong to enough forums.
Guest dynamo Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 You should also checkout Mapopolis. Its currently available as a free beta version and the time limited demo maps are also available for trying it out.
Guest noddyholder Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Ive been running Mapopolisfor three months on the e200 with a hard wired (which also charges yah phone) gps receiver that is meant for an XDA. It works perfectly, the demo maps give a timed warning after a couple of weeks but never expire. The only downside are the voice prompts which are the old "speak and spell" voice. BUT HEY ITS FREE The GPS receiverwas from Ebay at £40 GO FOR IT
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 When Mapopolis finally release their software there will be more 'Speak n Spell' voices (including a nice female voice) as well as a pre-recorded ones as well :)
