Decibel Meter and Compass

Hello all, :lol:

A friend has just got a new Nokia that has a dB meter and a compass on it, neither particularly day to day features but I was wondering if either were possible for the C500? :?:

Does your friend understand what decibels mean? - ask him what the current reading is telling him :D Also I can't see the pickup response of a mobiles microphone being very linear so I wouldn't rely on its reading.....

And yes a compass would need hardware, again is it really necessary If it's anything like my casio watch it's ok for about 10 minutes but needs calibrating too often to make it worth using! could turn a hill walk into a pretty dangerous trip :shock:

As for the use of the dB meter, its handy for comparing car stereo systems. :lol:
