Guest davpel Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I am having a terrible time trying to browse the web using WM2003 and GPRS. No matter what browser I try to use, after a few seconds of browsing the screen goes black and, when I hit a button, the device has reverted back to the WM2003 start page. From what I understand, this is a known bug with WM2003 on the MPX200, but from the posts here, it doesn't seem like everyone is experiencing this problem. I've tried two different versions of the firmware (SuperMoto English and Cartman) and the same thing happens. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a firmware version which doesn't have this bug? Anyone tried the (supposedly) new firmware from MPXZone? Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Guest davpel Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 No, I have the GSM fix saved somewhere, but haven't installed it because I assumed it only pertained to the phone-side of things (GSM) vs the Internet (GPRS). I'll have to give this a shot. I'm also waiting for MPXZone to send me their version -- I decided to take a chance in the hope that maybe it would take care of this issue.

Guest davpel Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Uh-oh. Not good. Tried the GSM-fix and it actually made things worse, or at least as bad as things were using the Super-Moto English ROM. I basically get kicked back to the main menu/start page now CONSTANTLY. With just the Cartman ROM, it only happened once or twice every ten minutes. I'm kind of at a loss. I'd go back to 2002, but PIE is so lame in terms of layout.

Guest davpel Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 This particular bug did not occur with 2002.
