Guest jsnielsen Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Hey all, which software would you recommend for playing MP3/WMA's on a C500 ? I've looked at: PocketMusic Music Box Betaplayer If any of you have a different recommendation, please step forward :D If any of you have pros/cons regarding any of the above mentioned apps, also please let me know  Thanks !
Guest Palindrome Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I use PocketMusic everyday and I like it. I believe it's much more suited to MP3s than Betaplayer. I don't know Music Box, I'll do a search and check it out.
Guest phAn Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I'm still using windows mediaplayer. It's easy to control, there's a shuffle - I don't really need anything else. What I *would* like is an mp3PRO-capable player - then I could double the amount of songs on my miniSD. Perhaps that isn't possible with 'only' 200mhz.. I dunno. Would love it though.
Guest jsnielsen Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Allrighty then. I ended up buying PocketMusic, as I have that for the Pocket PC also. Great app on smartphones also, but I was a bit disappointed in two things: 1. No support for WMA. Which is really annoying, as I otherwise have to convert to MP3, or play it in WMP. It should be an easy thing for PocketMind, when they already support it on PPC. 2. No action key for locking the device/keyboard, and shutting off the screen. Which would have been an obvious (and in my mind: IMPORTANT !) feature to implement. 3. Extra Bass doesn't work. At least, I can't hear any difference. Other than that, it's working out great.
Guest kev6eel Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 Music Box for Smartphone is at: http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....teid=279&id=649
Guest mcwarre Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 This is interesting, I have never considered anything other than WMP. I shall give the others a go (if trial versions available). Thanks for the info.
Guest nikjensie Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 Since this question has come up a couple of times without me butting in, I've decided to give my 2 cents... I use my phone as an MP3-player a lot and I tried all softwares on the market until I decided on the one that works brilliantly on my E200 and worked like a charm on the E100 I had before, when all the other gave me problems... Simple Tunes is the way to go. Best Regards Nik
Guest phonesmarts Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 (edited) Most of the media players on the Smartphones I know are mp3PRO compatible. mp3pro is just an enhanced mp3 and 1/2 the size. I usually stack a ton of mp3s on my SD-card and Betaplayer plays it with no problem. Edited December 31, 2004 by phonesmarts
