How to turn off the DING when inserting punctuation in text?

i.e. the noise you get when you hold down the space key to insert a question mark etc.

I've searched this forum but couldn't see the answer.

I've turned off EXCLAMATIONS, QUESTIONS and WARNINGS sounds, but I still get it.

Im not sure if you have this option, but on my E200 you can turn off system sounds, and that stops that sound.

First thing I did with my C500 :wink:

You have to edit each profile individually.

On the e100:

1. Choose Silent profile

2. Simulate the DING sound by composing a message then insert a contact at the 'To:' field

3. Switch back to Normal profile

...now I dont know if the tricks gonna work on the C500 :lol:
