Guest stpete111 Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Hi everyone, Yes, I'm a newbie... everyone here seems great and very helpful and knowledgeable. I just did a search for my questions and didn't uncover anything, so I'm hoping you all can help. If I'm in the wrong forum, please let me know. I am looking for links or sites with streaming video that I can view on my smartphone. It can be free streams, or subscription content that requires money, no matter to me. What are the best sites (or sites with a list of links) for this that you all use? A couple things to mention: - I have an Audiovox SMT5600, AT&T wireless service - I already have Smart TV Live, and Smartstreams links on my phone, but I'm looking for more, b/c half of those links don't work, or don't have sound. - I'm mainly looking for video, as mentioned, I know TONS of streaming radio places already, so I don't need that. When I say video, I mean TV streams, movie streams, news, etc etc! Thanks so much in advance everyone for your help!
Guest stpete111 Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I noticed this post hasn't even been viewed yet... if I've done something wrong or broken some rule... PLEASE someone let me know! I'm new here! Thanks, StPete
Guest martin Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Welcome stpete111 I don't think there are that many video streaming sites for mobile phones basically because of the 2.5G GPRS limitations. You could try the Windows media site. All the video's are 56Kbits but they work great with the pass through connection using the PC link  http://windowsmediamobile.theplatform.com/...one/default.asp If you find any more, post them up
Guest stpete111 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Many thanks for the info, Martin! Just fyi, the only other one I've found so far is http://pocketpcmedia.nl There are a few different types things on there, and although it was obviously developed for Pocket PC's, most links let you choose between "Hi" or "Lo" bandwidth, and choosing "Lo" for the phone usually produces positive results. Any others would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.
