Guest bluesxman Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Hopefully someone can give me a few pointers here - I've searched the forums but not found anything quite the same as this.... I noticed my phone was playing up, not able to use GPRS or make voice calls. I did a soft boot which was stuck on the Smartphone 2002 screen (well the equivalent for the theme I was using!). Tried it a few more times, same thing, so I attempted a hard reset. What happens now is that after sticking on the Smartphone 2002 screen for a good 10-20 mins, the program menu appears briefly, then the default homescreen then a message saying "Addconfig.... waiting...." this is then followed by a screen displaying this message: "Unknown SIM status. Contact your customer service centre for assistance (Error 262144)" Then it goes to the sunset screen and starts all over again... Anyone have any ideas???
Guest squall Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 i would reinstall the latest update, and wipe the back of the sim.
Guest bluesxman Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 i would reinstall the latest update, and wipe the back of the sim. Thanks for the reply. I can't re-install the update as it needs to be sync'ed with the PC to work - unless there's another way???
Guest The Wraith Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Run the update from the canary screen You do not need to be synced.
Guest bluesxman Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Great that's done the trick! Thanks to you both for your help.
