SPV C500 - Can't use volume buttons

The volume buttons on my C500 don't work anymore!

I was trying out some different homescreens, I uninstalled one and was left with the wrong system screens, but the originals came back after I uninstalled another theme and restarted the phone. Now when I press the volume buttons the '[start][contacts]' bit at the bottom sort of blinks and nothing else happens.

There isn't a volume bar and it doesn't change the volume in any way :lol:

Is there an easy fix to this, or am I gonna have to do a hard reset? (pain in the backside since i've just got it the way I like it, bar the volume controls being broken)
