Guest nickf Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 recently found got one of these off ebay as it said it was compatible, and i have read on here of 2 people using them (turns out they have the e200...). so i have charged the BT GPS, and even got it to fix a location (by sitting it on the outside windowsill...) i also managed to add it to my BT devices on my c500. but can i get it to work in *ANY* GPS NAV software??? NO!! i have tomtom, outdoor navigator and mapopolis now, and i can't get any of them to connect with it. i tried disabling com7 as awarner suggested (respect to him - he has helped many before me) and deleting all pairings, restarting phone - but even this doesn't work. now if the rikaline is listed in the registry as accepted, and with the tomtom traffic update, which has been said to allow access to all BT GPS receivers, why can't my c500 pick it up? does anyone know of any simple GPS software (without the NAV) i can download to simply test the rikaline? or am i gonna have to sell it on ebay and replace it with a tomtom genuine? i come to the conclusion, since no software i have seems to work with it that either: a) (most likely) i am doing something stupid and have missed a vital step in the initiation process; or  these two devices are totally incompatible and i am wasting my time and pulling my hair out over nothing... :@ SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!
Guest pmassop Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 delete your gps device. enable com 6 and 7!! than pair, pin: 0000 or nothing with tomtom mobile you must run the traffic-update first. http://support.tomtom.com/traffic/software/ttm_sp.zip
Guest nickf Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 ok, right... firstly, thanks alot! and secondly, why didn't that bloomin' work when i tried it?!?! grrr :$ ... now let's see if it works with the other software... thanks again!
Guest pmassop Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Your welcome  Maybe you did not use the correct order. first enable com 6 and 7 then pair.
Guest nickf Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 6 and 7 were both enabled. and it did't work, though i did get them to pair. then i found awarner's postin about disabling com7... but reabling com7 and repairing seemed to do the trick. works with mapopolis and outdoor navigator too. only trouble i have now is getting a satellite signal in my area... :) thanks again for your help! n
