Guest hjimmy Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Ok... this is pissing me off. I got the moto hs820 headset and link it w/ MPx220. However, it seems you cannot use it to do voice dialing at all (press the button on the headset, speak command or name) What I can do now is to have the headset, but press the button on the phone and speak to the phone, and this is just stupid!! Anyone experience this issue at all?
Guest MadSci Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 I'm disappointed as well, but it was never promised that this phone would do this. It aught to, but it doesn't. See the following post for more details: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=117922 I Grieve With Thee MadSci
Guest Foxman Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 This is one of the items in my feedback to the MotoPro product team. It seems they are using the Microsoft BT software and had problems modifying it to work with voice command. However, I have suggested they use Widcomm's software as I have seen it work with VC on the MPx.

Droolingin anticipation... MadSci

Guest omega2008 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 he is talking about the MPx aka MPx 300, I have this phone and it uses the widcomm drivers instead of Microsofts, so speech reconition works with BT headsets on the MPx. There is no application that will make the MPx 220 BT voice dial, unless widcomm or some software comes about that allows BT voice dial

Guest omega2008 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I am working on a hack to get it to work, so far not so good but I will keep trying
Guest illcaptive Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 windows is comming out with a new firmware motorola is testing it as we speak and it allows voice dialing through the bt headset.
Guest riven Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Who knows....if we're lucky that may be what Moto is waiting on before they re-release their update section on the website...
Guest tw1511 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 There is a new headset coming out called the Jabra BT800. That even shows the number that's calling! It's $149.00, BUT it's been given some bad reviews, it's apparently uncomfortable, by PC World... :?:
