Guest ProphetX Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 has anyone gotten video to play using the fullscreen in windows media player 10 on the c500 or smt 5600? any help would be nice... some guy with a dopod claims he has it working.
Guest Raymo Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 their is no windows media player 10 for the c500 yet
Guest martin Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Don't you have Menu-Fullscreen on WMP10 :?
Guest ProphetX Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 yeah but the videos never fill the entire screen
Guest martin Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 The best idea is to code a larger video to 176*220 but if you want to actually stretch a small WMV video to fill the screen then use Betaplayer with the ASF plugin :) http://betaplayer.corecodec.org
Guest ProphetX Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 i do code to 176x220 wmp 10 automatically shrinks it.
Guest martin Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 You could always use Betaplayer to get full screen. The only thing I can think of with WMP is to check the registry. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows Media Player/Video On the C500 I have the values Maximum Height=180 Maximum Width=240 I'm not sure why the sizes are bigger than the screen :?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I have not yet figured out how to get it to fill the screen. I have tried to watch movies that I know are 176 x 220 as well as 320 x 240. Both show up framed...I dont know why... But then again, I'm happier with betaPlayer...unless it's WMV that I'm trying to see.
Guest ProphetX Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 thanks encece, i was beggining to think i was the only one with this problem
Guest nickcornaglia Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Just made myself a liar. I just made a home movie of my son at a karate competition with my still camera. I edited/converted it to WMV and re-encoded it to PPC side which showed up as 220 x 160. It is playing fullscreen on my phone with the small exception of the 17 pixels left over. Hmmmm.....Now I need to find out what is different between this and the other movie.
Guest flywest Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 I dont own a Smartphone but am interested in this post since I am thinking about buying a smartphone. Anyhow, it sounds like if you uncheck "shrink to fit in window" in the options it helps. But you can follow the thread here... http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php...threadid=513777
