Guest mike_m Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 I have a C500 and an IPAQ HX4700. They were happily talking to each other over bluetooth. I was using the phone as a modem and surfing the net on the IPAQ. Due to an unexpected hard reset, I restored my backup and all seemed well, that is apart from my bluetooth connection. The bluetooth connection would not dail on the phone. So I set about re-pairing the devices. Initially just re-pairing and also deleteting them and starting again. The pairing appears to work, I get the authentication message when attempting the dial but then get a message "Service detection was unsuccessful" or something similar. If I use the bluetooth manager on the IPAQ to explore services on the phone, it states "services detection was unsuccessful'. Both devices are in discoverable mode. Any ideas? Mike
Guest Raymo Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 not a scooby, erm could be related to password authentication?
Guest modularcarpet Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Did you have to hard reset your ipaq or C500? If it was your C500, did you re-enable the COM ports in Start > accessories.
